Nb₃Sn Superconducting Wires

About Nb₃Sn Superconducting Wires

Nb₃Sn (Niobium-Tin) is a metallic low-temperature superconducting wire material essential for generating high magnetic fields above 10 T.
Since introducing Nb₃Sn wire to the market in 1983, JASTEC has supplied high-performance superconducting wires to leading-edge applications worldwide, ranging from high-field research magnets and large-scale NMR spectrometers to particle accelerators and fusion-energy projects.
Utilizing the Bronze Process, our Nb₃Sn wires provide stable critical current density (Jc), excellent wire uniformity, and highly reliable filament structures. These characteristics make them ideally suited for demanding high-field superconducting applications.

Key Features

• High upper critical magnetic field (Bc₂), supporting applications up to the 30 T class
• High critical current density (Jc) for high-field research magnets
• Highly stable filament structures based on Bronze technologies
• Wide range of wire diameters and Cu / Non-Cu ratios to meet specific application requirements
• Proven performance in numerous high-field NMR and experimental magnet systems worldwide

Applications

• Inner coils for NMR spectrometers operating at 500 MHz and above
• High-field magnets for materials science and condensed matter research
